The free-standing square cube forms another solitaire and, with its volume and materiality, fits into the entire complex of the Kreismuseum. Both the height and the form of the building face the former back of the Kreismuseum and form a new facade of the complex, including the forest. The laying of the pipeline and the associated archaeological excavations were the prerequisites for the discovery of Gessel's gold treasury and the discoveries of the pipeline excavation along the Nel route. Both the pipeline and the grid system of the archaeologists flow into the building design. An exciting showcase drama is guaranteed by closed and open, exposed and unexposed areas of the exhibition, airspaces, spatial references, views into the landscape, different room heights of the floors and a direct level connection to the existing museum building. The round, non-skylighted gold hoarding cabinet also stands in the tradition of the treasury, from which the institution of the museum, the collection of objects have emerged.
